SRS Presented in a National Conference
(July 17, 2009) — Resource sharing has become a necessity for modern scientific and healthcare research because of the increasing cost and complexity of instruments and facilities today. Managers of federal funded core facilities / shared resources are facing a number of challenges to ensure that proper record keeping and usage charge structure meet with federal mandates. One of the biggest challenges is lack of adequate and affordable online managing and reporting tool. C3Tech’s innovative product Shared Resources Scheduling and Management System (SRS) is the answer to this challenge and was presented in Workshop on Efficient Management and Utilization of Core Facilities held by National Institute of Health in Washington D.C., July 14-15, 2009 in the poster session. The purpose of this workshop was to discuss the state of existing NIH-funded research core facilities, identify common problems encountered during their operation and use, and raise options to maximize the use and efficiency of core facilities.
SRS is a web-base advanced solution for managing core facilities / shared resources. It streamlines the core facilities / shared resources scheduling, accounting, and reporting processes. It helps organizations in cutting costs and improving operating efficiency as well as maximizing the utilization of their shared resources. More noticeably, SRS meets NIH policy guidelines relative to Core Facility Income.
SRS is available to customers through Web 2.0 Software as a Service (SaaS) model. With this model, SRS is licensed for use as a service provided to customers on demand. Organizations eliminate the up-front costs in purchasing hardware, software and associated maintenance.
